TV Power Cable

I just replaced my TV with a new Samsung TV. It works great. The power cable for the old Sony TV runs behind the wall bracket through the wall by the Refrigerator and comes out by the 120VAC receptacle by the wall. I cannot get the cable to come out of the hole in the wall, so I need to get access to the space behind and by the Refrigerator.

Has anyone else replaced their TV and removed the old power cable?

How did you get access the space by the refrigerator to get the old cable out??

A semi-educated guess here: The power cord is held in place on the back side of the wall with one or more clips to keep it out of the way while sliding the fridge in. You may need to pull the fridge out to get access behind the wall. That sounds worse than it really is.

Have you tried to access the area through the outside hatch at the back of the fridge?
