Spaces under doors
Do all the recent models have large gaps under the bathroom and folding doors? What's the purpose? It seems like the 3-4" space negates the privacy the doors should provide. Or do we have an anomoly?

Could be:
1) Larger gap = more room for error upon installation?
2) Makes for even increment of materials
3) Allows for flex while on the road
4) Your trailer is so big, you need to see if someone is "missing" in the other room
Uhhh...I don't know, seems odd.

Could it be for the HVAC air distribution within the unit?

I thought it was for air circulation.

Guess what? You are all right! Air circulation being one of the top five. Keeping the bottom away from the floor prevents scuffing and jamming and a few inches times 425 units = $ saved. But the one I like the best is the reading material portal! Very cleaver.

Space
I have a heater vent in my bathroom so I think the ventilation is right on also.Sometimes it would get so hot in there when the heater is running. Then again it could be a way vent some air when the fan stops working also.I guess there is another good thing for the fantastic fans to be in the rear.

Thanks for the responses! We suspected it was for air cirulation but haven't camped in it enough for the logic to kick in. Seems like a big gap--but then again, some might like to have their Woodalls brought to them in the library

One explanation not seen yet is so our Welsh corgi can get her nose scratched any time she wants. The bathroom is too small to have her with me in there.

We have a Corgi mix and two Norfolks that "go to ground"--and can easily get down gopher holes with narrower openings than the "ventilation space". Hope they don't get any bright ideas!

I'm installing solid cherry wood doors on the bath and rear bedroom, they will only have 3/4" floor clearance, like Janet said otherwise what's the point.
Good point about the heat in the bath, perhaps a vent in the hallway may work?
