Congratulations and thanks for sharing the joy and beautiful photos! I must have missed this (sporadic poster here) but had to wish you all the best with your new Airstream and upcoming adventures....post some pics of your first rally!

Our Equalizer hitch is also noisy but we've never lubed it, if you do let us know what you use and if it works!

Barbara, Our Equal-i-zer hitch was horrendously noisy until we greased it up, and now it's very bearable. Terry used some kind of bicycle grease he had on hand, but anything that lubes well would probably do the trick. Makes a huge difference.

Yes, as Janet says, do lub the hitch according to the manufacturers directions. I used their socket lube that I bought from them along with a lost pin survival kit "Be Prepared".

We just returned on Monday from the Florida Can Opener Rally, and the lubed hitch performed just as well as when we used it the first time, but now it was very quiet.
