He Kept His Toys and Stayed Home :(
Hello again Experts,
Well, the owner of the camper that I was going to purchase saw that I had asked questions on the Forum about this year/style of camper and he withdrew his offer. Specifically, he said:
The process of trying to sell this trailer has been very interesting. We have had people who were unable to get financing, people who have had problems with insurance, and one person that tried to scam us out of $28,000!
Now we have encountered someone who puts our private conversation on Air Forums for all to see.
I really have no problem with any inspection or check list from any source. As I have mentioned, we have owned some type of RV since 1973 and I am very confidant of the condition of this one. It is however a 2007 trailer which means that it is not new!
All that to say we will be pursuing a local sale.
I'm sorry this will not work out for you or us.
I have come to a couple of possible reasons.....1. This man is totally insecure with himself and the camper, 2. The camper probably had some huge issues that he knew I would discover because I was seeking guidance for inspection, or 3. He found another buyer.
I find this man cruel and insensitive due to the fact that this trailer is carrying a Rebuilt Salvage Title and I spent too much time looking for, and finally finding, someone to insure it. I would probably never have been able to sell it if I had wanted to. Still, I had prepared myself for that and was so excited to own it regardless.
I am happy this guy kept his toys and stayed home...It probably saved me from a boat load of headaches! Last night I had the BEST night's sleep that I've had in weeks!!
