Floor Care

I searched the forums, but could not find out any info on caring for the floor in my 2007 28' Safari SE/LS. Anyone have any tricks or ideas on how to care for the floor?

Jim---Congrats on your new baby. Keeping the dirt and grunt outside is a good start. If you have a hard vinyl floor, maintain it the same as you would in the home. Be sure to enjoy it.

Jim something to be aware of --- rubber backed throw rugs will leave the vinal slightly darker where they lay. We have them on the vinyl portion of our Classic's floor and noticed this when we moved them. Haven't found anything that will remove this darker area. Suspect it's a chemical reaction between the rubber and vinyl. Someone here may have info as to how this may be prevented----pieman

The best stuff we've found for vinyl is a product Armstrong makes. We have a cream colored floor at home that gets yellowed from chemicals brought in on shoes, and throw rugs as noted above, according to the flooring store. The Armstrong product is the only thing we found that will clean it. There's a stripper, a polish then a cleaner to keep the polish in place. If you stay after parts 2 and 3 the stripper is rarely needed. The stripper by the way is a hands and knees job. Home Depot or Lowes has it.
