Finally took the plunge

I guess it's actually a fairly common theme. You spend a few years lurking the forums, reading all you can, looking a pictures, considering alternatives, and then you wake up one day and say "I'm gonna buy an Airstream!".

So, last weekend we brought home our new 2007 20' Safari LS SE and we love it. First Airstream. First RV for that matter. We used to sleep in a tent or the back of the truck. This is much nicer.

Seems like there are a lot of nice folks on the forums. I'm looking forward as a newbie to draw on your experience. I'm sure I will have lots of questions.

Welcome to the forums! Hopefully you spent a night or two at your dealer's to shake out the initial bugs?

thanks for the photos billberk...

really nice unit.

the 20 footer is really packed with features....

dinette, long bed, full galley and a dry bath!

just right for 2 cozy folks and that pooch.

what is the gvwr, ubw and carry capacity?

i'm just wondering about the axle rating.. 4500 or more?

placing the galley and bath together at the back is a good idea in this size range.

cheers

We love our 20 foot Safari and you'll have tons 'o fun with yours. It has a great layout and works just fine for the two of us and a couple of dogs. I removed the door on the storage bin under one of the dinette seats and it is the perfect size for Molly the Jack Russell to sleep out of the way. Luke, the Border Collie, sleeps under the table.
