Wood Trim, Bedroom, 2003 Classic

Hi all. Oops, it's a 2003. There is (was) a piece of wood trim just below the window. It appears to have been held on by thin 1" staples, but trying to straighten them and stick it back up doesn't seem to work. I'm afraid if I try to use screws I will tear something up. Any ideas? Thanks!

Depending on what's under where the strip is, you may be able to drill several small holes in the strip, and use small brass screws to reattach the strip.

Put a little silicone adhesive on it and tape it in place until the adhesive sets. Use just a little silicone, it works well
