Walls, what to do?

We finally found our 24" Argosy, the only real problem (beside a shell-on renovation) is she came with no interior skins. So my question is this, has anyone used wood or PRV on their interior walls and had success? Also would love feedback if anyone has had experience with the waterless Leovo (?) toilet, I would love not to take up space with plumbing lines and black water tank! Thanks for any advice I can get!

In general, Airstreams were designed to have aluminum interior skins that "work" with the whole for strength and flexability. It's part of the structural integrity of the trailer. Can you replace it with wood? Yes, and people have done it, but you must remember that the trailer flexes a great deal going down the road. I'm not sure how well wood walls will flex. They will also be heavier than aluminum interior skins, so you need to take that into account for total weight of the trailer. Wood is also more expensive now than it used to be....
You can get aluminum from Airpartsinc.com shipped to you in varying thicknesses. The thickness of ours is .032.

Thanks for the input, my gut told me aluminum but my husband is a highly skilled woodworker, so I was thinking it would be easier (and quicker!) if we went with wood...but this needs to last another 50 years, so I think we'll do with aluminum and a learning process. I'll save his skills for the actual build out!

I’ve seen people overlay 1/8” plywood over the skin, but still issues down the road with the flexion of the interior. Pick a nice color of Zolatone y’all like and go for it. It will last and look good for that 50 years you want. Good luck
