Unzipping the ultraleather???
The foam needs to be rearranged a bit on my pillow because.....well.... my big behind.
The zipper has no lever/handle/hole to "grab" onto and trying to unzip it and pushing it by finger "seems" fruitless". Is there a tool or something I need too unlock it to allow the zipper to move?
I can't figure it out and not much on the webs.
I certainly don't want risk forcing it or using any kind of tool that could cause a slip and damage the material ( ) , so looking for the correct way to get these open....unless I'm missing something stupid simple.
TY.

In a pinch a paper clip will work, or even needle nose pliers if the corresponding connection hoop on the slider is broken.
Longer term, there are umpteen videos on YouTube on "how to replace the zipper sled."

Can you use a paperclip through the little hole in the zipper slider where the the zipper pull would normally attach, then use it as a makeshift pull?

Well that is the thing, we checked a couple of pillows, there are NO holes in the levers. It looks like a "tool" or something is needed to "capture" it and then unzip it.
I know when I posted, it would be like, dude it's a zipper... LOL.
But ours didn't have the hole which has us scratching our head and we couldn't get any finger strength to even move it a few zips, it "almost" looks like it was "sewn" shut to keep the zip from ever coming open, which doesn't make any sense.
If it were one pillow, that would be one thing, but it is like 2 or 3 of them, I didn't check them all...

That is odd. I upgraded my couch foam last month. The zipper across the back of each cushion was a complete zipper, but the inside zipper for the front section of the cushion had no zipper slider or pull. Both ends of the zipper was secured with hog rings. I added sliders/pulls.

We changed our foam a few years ago and remember having to unzip the covers.
These aren't your usual zippers, they are like a low profile zipper. If my memory is correct, we just hooked something in the zipper track, just on the zipper head, and pulled them open. Once they got moving, they opened up easily, I think we used a tiny jeweller's screw driver.
We found that the factory foam was just too uncomfortable so we went with a denser foam from a local foam shop. We only did the lowers (the ones we sit on) and left verticals as original.
This is one of the better upgrades that we made to trailer.

Ok, so I'm not going crazy.... when you start to "push" the zipper, was there any "feel like" it was going jump out and "tear", meaning, the tool itself might come loose and hit the leather because of the amount of force to get it moving?
These are pretty stout to get started it seems.... that really is my only concern.

Try using a bent end of a metal coat hanger to get into it and hook the zipper head. It did take some effort to get it started.
