Those curtain track hang-ups
We all curse the curtains when trying to slide then past window locks. Well there is a fix that works. Here we go: Things you will need 1. Screws 2 # 6 X 1 1/2" Phillips head for each window, drill motor with 1/6" bit, Philips #2 screwdriver, (optional #2 Philips bit long and 2 spacers , I used wood blocks that are 5/8" thick with a hole drilled through the center 3/16".
At the area where the locks are there are 3 brackets, center and two side brackets. Those side ones need to be relocated in front of the latch. So unscrew them save the screws. Now pull the track out in front of the latch enough to slide a spacer in between the bracket and the wall. Line up the bracket opposite the latch. Insert the spacer, line up the bracket hole with the spacer and drill a 1/6" hole in to the skin. Insert the screw and screw it in. Your done! You may want to lube the track with Dry Lub comes in a spray can, be sure to use the wand.
P.S. Put old screws in the old holes.
