Some upgrading on our 72 Overlander

Hello All,
My wife and I recently got an Airstream and have been working on it for about a week. We have installed new carpet in the living room and bedroom, also installed new covering in kitchen and bath. My wife is making all the new curtains and recovering the furniture. She is pretty good at sewing, so if any of you need some help just ask! We hope to have everything in good working order on the outside and inside soon so we can go camping. Here are a few pics of what we have done so far.

John,

I really like the color of that carpet. I've got to decide soon on the new floor coverings for my trailer. It's fun to fix them up but more fun to take them on the road.

Nice!

Cool pics! How fortunate you were able to obtain an Airstream where you were able to go directly to the decorating and such!

Be sure and check out the rally schedule on the top blue toolbar and go to one near you! You will have a great time and meet great folks! Did I say great?

Be sure and post pics of your trailer in a campsite!

We got the airstream from a good friend of mine. He bought it in 2000 and never went camping in it the first time! We had went over about 3 years ago and placed an air purifier in it for a couple of days to eliminate a musty smell that was in it. Thought back then that we would like to have a camper, but did not pursue it. A couple of months ago we bought a 73 ford truck, and did quite a bit of work to it. He mentioned that he would trade me the airstream for the truck so we jumped on the offer and traded!! I did have to replace the plumbing, and will need to get some new tires put on soon. We should be camping very shortly!!
