Based on our experience with a double panoramic window trailer, we would definitely do four panels. We love the flexibility to be able to selectively block a bright light or an eyesore without blocking the good views.

Here is a great idea — which we used — for improving the look and function of these curtains. This would be super easy to do while replacing the curtains.

Another reason for four panels

The four panel curtain is a throwback to pre-A/C Airstreams.

If you choose not to use the A/C, you open the middle section of the panoramic window to the first (smallest) opening, turn on the Fantastic fan to exhaust, and close the curtains. Then you adjust the amount of cool, incoming breeze by spreading apart the two outer curtain sections from the middle section. This works extremely well if your bed or beds are under the window, as each opening can be adjusted to lessen or increase the breeze for the “hot” or “cold” sleeper. And the closed curtain over the opened middle window maintains visual privacy at night.
