Painting walls with oil paint

We will begin prepping to paint tonight. Our plan is to sand and then re clean the walls before priming tomorrow and paint over the weekend.

We are planning on using oil based primer (probably zinsser) and then either valspar or sherwin Williams oil based satin white paint. We are looking to use white paint on the entire AS.

My question is, has anyone used oil based white paint? Does it actually turn yellow? We have cleaned the skins thoroughly and they are no longer tacky. We understand it is 90% good preparation.

We have read that latex doesn't produce as good, or long lasting, results and want it done properly.

Thoughts?!

I am sorry that I just saw this post.
Have you painted yet?

I am sure that you have, and I am not sure if you can still get oil based paints, but if you did get a hold of some, yes, it will turn Yellow.

I am in the process of also painting my whole inside of my Land Y, all in an warm off-white. but I am sanding and also using Krud Kutter Gloss-Off to prepare the surfaces before painting, there is no need to prime if you are using a Behr or Marquis Paint and Primer in one, saves you the step of priming.

Paint is one of the few things left on earth where you really do get what you pay for.

Buy the priciest stuff you can afford and you won't regret it.

I used the oil based Zinnser to prime my walls. It says on there after you use the primer you can use latex or oil based paints to paint over the primer. I used latex and it still looks beautiful.
