New mouse fur

Bought a 2001 Safari 25 SS last summer and have been doing a little updating. Took out the 15 year old blue shag carpet and put down vinyl click plank. And after reading many posts about mouse fur and what to do with it, I decided to replace it. In the non-airstream world, it is known as marine hull covering. Bought some in "cream" from Miami corp and had it drop-shipped to BB Customer Upholstery in NW Houston/Tomball, TX. Got it back less than a week later and it is GEORGEOUS. I highly recommend this update if you're not going to aluminum skins. They did a far better job than I imagined!

Did you use anything in an attempt to seal the aluminum to prevent a recurrence? I'm not sure I would, just curious.

Did you remove the interior cabinets, furniture, window frames etc. or did the upholstery shop do it?

We removed the jacknife and dinette because we also had the shag carpet replaced by a flooring store. The upholstery shop took off the window frames and curtain tracks and reinstalled them. They did not remove the cabinets to my knowledge, they "tucked" the mouse fur under. Can't tell the difference. I will take some pictures today and post them. We also bought a new converter for good measure and now have to put humpty dumpty back together again!
