Mounting blinds in existing curtain tracks

Anyone know of the best method to mount window blinds in the existing curtain track/valance? Any suggestions would be appreciated. If you have pics of the actual method that would be great too. Also which width fits best? 2", 1", etc?

The biggest issue is getting the curtains to slide past the blinds.Airstream uses 1" mini-blinds. Roller shades are similiar size. You may have to install bigger stand offs(something to increase distance from wall to tracks at top and bottom). Make sure you have enough space for brackets.
