Mini-Blind between the window and screen

I am in the process of customizing mini-blinds between the screen and window. I am trimming the edges to match the curves of the window opening and creating slots in the bottom housing to accept the window lock mechanism. Has anyone else done this?

I'm also interested in seeing pictures. I just got new curtains but this would be perfect for the kitchen and bathroom windows.

Why the *@#& didn't I think of that? It sounds like a great idea and hope you can get it to work. I'd love to hear how it's going any any snags you run into and some pics of the details!
