We bought ours already done. It's not 1969 style but it's nice. We have put on new chrome handles which makes it look a little more retro.

There is a light weight glass LOOK tile which can be found at the big box hardware stores. Perfect for an Airstream. Go to SEARCH and under "Google Search" put in "Airstream kitchen remodel" and see what you get.
Dozens and dozens of ideas.
Paula
Welcome and happy decorating.

You might take a look at a website, Travel Trailer Renovations by Hofmann Architecture. They do Airstream restorations in California, and have a lot of their work displayed on their website. All pretty modern stuff, for the most part.

I would never put heavy tile with grout in a moving trailer.

I'm just not a fan of tile in the kitchen - even in my house. I know people do it, but it's harder to keep clean. In the trailer especially I want life to be easy!

Hi, it is 2x2 tile on the counters. We didn't put it in we bought it that way. I don't know how well it will hold up but we towed it 1200 miles to bring "Millie" home and all is well. I guess we'll see.
