Paint remover. Its a long tedious job. I am in the middler of removeing two very poorly applied coats of paint.
The end caps are not aluminum after about 57 I know but might be as early as yours. From around 57-65 they are fiberglass and I think around 65 or so it went to a ABS.
Your interrior aluminum is more then likley not as nice a grade as the exterior. Probably a 6061 instead of the T2024t3 Alcad the exterrior is. Thats how our 59 is.
In the photo albums is picturs of a coach painted with a nice silver that deals with the endcaps not being aluminum. Came out very nice. TinCanLuv used aluminum flashing to deal with the end caps and it came out quite nice. Again pictues of the build are posted in the forum and in their photo album.
Several posts about stripping in the interrior restoration section of the forum as well.
It could be blasted if its a ll aluminum. I would hire it out to somebody that used walnut shells. That will be soft and not likly to damage the aluminum.
