I got all three of mine done, with the original foam for around $600.

Got three quotes, the other two wanted around $1000.

I also got some curtains made for $50.

How Much Did You PAY ????

Greetings Aviontt!

While $2,000 might sound like a rather large sum, there are many variables when it comes to upholstery. There are many grades (and thus prices) for both fabrics and foam.

When I recently had the interior of my '78 Argosy Minuet 6.0 Metre refurbished/restored, I was advised that the foam/fabric/labor each accounted for approximately 1/3 of the cost - - in part because I chose to go with premium foam and premium cloth. The foam for the twin lounges in my Argosy was between $600 and $700, the face upholstery fabric was $48.00/yard and the backing upholstery was around $14.00/yard. I don't have the precise breakdowns for these two components, but I suspect that the two lounges were likely close to $2,000 of the overall cost.

I also opted for the premium foam & fabric aprox: $34.00 per yard for fabric.

cost

Sounds about right to me. I had the cushions in my 25' sail boat redone with new foam and upholstery and was shocked. Just had our guacho and twins reupholstered (foam was only 3 years old) and fabric and sewing was about $700. The PO paid about that for the foam.

We had our jack-knife sofa redone with rather expensive fabric - $35/yd. - but standard foam and it came in at $580. I thought that was plenty!

It cost us around $340 to do our gaucho. We did the end pieces and cushions ourselves. Shop uptown did the main cushions and back. We bought the fabric and supplied it to the shop.
