How do you get curtains off the rack?

This may be a silly question, but I want to give my curtains a wash and cannot figure out how to get them off the rack of a 2010 international model. Any thoughts?

I don't have a new AS, but on other trailers I've had over the years, there are typically two methods. Hopefully one of them will work for you.

Look for a opening in the track at the center of the window. It's normally just big enough to allow the thingys that run in the track to slip out.

Look for a small screw at the end of the track. The screw will keep the thingys from falling off the end of the track. Remove the screw, and then you can remove the curtains.

Hope this helps!

Chris

ps - I used the technical term "thingys" because I'm not sure if you have little plastic tabs that run in a track or something else.

If they are the same type as our 2005, you must remove the upper and lower plastic end cap on one side. The plastic curtain guides will then slide out of the aluminum track.

Use caution when washing the curtains. Let them air dry. Early on I dried one of ours in the dryer, and it shrank significantly. I did get it back on, but it is very tight.

Thanks for the info...I did try to get the two screws off the end cap so I could slide the curtains off but I could not get a screw driver in there because it is so close to the overhead cupboard...I was hoping there was another way....thanks for the advice on the drip dry Brian!

Now that you bring it up, I now recall that I had to remove the valance before being able to get to some of the end cap screws.

No valance on our model, just straight curtains and a giant overhead cupboard that's in the way...darn it!

Can you post some photos of the area? Maybe we can make some suggestions. There has to be a way to get the curtains off.

On our 2008, the curtains are not exactly square. Either the top is longer or the bottom, I cannot remember. Long story short is that Murphy's Law was in effect and I put them back on upside down and they did not fit right.
