Home Sweet Home

We finally found an electric heater that fit into our small space, adds to the mood rather than just an ugly little heater, and is usable as a table top for such things as remotes or satellite receiver. Even Rosie (dog) loves it!

To jump in here, we saw one just like this at Menard's yesterday, $89.00 as I recall.

Your 27FB is absolutely beautiful with those Ekornes chairs, and I really like what you've done with the bench area. Perhaps you could start a separate thread with details and more pics.

The heater is available at several big box stores such as Lowes and Home Depot for around $90. It is a 1500 Watt heater and does a good job keeping the trailer toasty.

We decided to remodel the trailer because we are full timing. (just back from Alaska for the summer and currently working at Amazon.com in Kansas) The remodel consisted of removing the dinette and part of the couch, removing some heater ducting and then adding the chairs. We do not have the chairs fixed in position, but have figured out a way to keep them from sliding around while traveling (tricky on the Alaska highway).

If we can figure out a way to add a convection microwave we will do that before returning to Alaska in the Spring.

We're just starting to look for an Airstream. We're pretty much convinced a 25 foot is what we'll purchase.

Lounge chairs was a big concern. We have Ekornes lounge chairs similar to those in the pic you posted. Great idea! We'll most likely do something similar.

Three questions:
1. Have you considered tying them down? If so, please share your thoughts.
2. Have you concerned and done any research on a small folding table to replace the dinette?
3. Can the couch still be used as a pull out bed?
