Gaucho redo

As much as I want to replace my gaucho with a dinette, I had to settle for a simple “gaucho redo”.

I beefed up the support by replacing the flimsy plywood with 1/2 birch plywood and add a back support that is attached with a piano hinge.



To increase the sleeping area I made the back cushion larger and added fold up legs that get held in place with a cabinet latch.

I used 3 piece box sofa slip cover to cover the cushion.
