electricity and blinds

Can someone out there help me? We have a 1977 Land Yacht which we are about to place on a lovely camping site in Norfolk (UK). It has the original concertina blinds at the windows - how can I get these off to clean? Also, as we are 240 volts in the UK I need a voltage reducer - no problem but does anyone have any idea of the rating of a land yacht - fridge, lights etc? Thanks, Kim

Hi Kim, I can't help with the blinds, but the Airstreams of that era had electrical systems rated at 30 amps, 120vac. That should be adequate for operating all appliances, including the rooftop air conditioner.
