Curtain "rods" ~ c- channel ???

Hello,

Well I have decided we will go with curtains for now in our 1963 Bambi. We have the original c-type channel with the little tab sliders for the curtains. What I wam wondering... does anyone know where to find more of the aluminum type c-channel that the curtain sliders fit into? I want it to match what I have. I looked at www.all-rite.com but they didn't appear to have what I am looking for. Anyone know out there? I am wanting to put channel on the bottom of the windows as well to secure the curtains both top and bottom. Thanks!

Mrs. Nor Cal Bambi

We need pink flamingo smilies!

Mrs. NorCal Bambi ~

I have extras. How many do you need and what length on each? I've already parted with one and have a few more available. Can you post a close up picture so i know we're talking about the same stuff?

Here is a couple pics. Lighting wasn't very good, and they are kinda fuzzy but probably can determine the shape?!

Would be interested in the following. Please let me know what you would like for them ($). Be glad to oblige.

Wants:

Priority # 1 ~ 33 inches long (back window)
Priority # 2 ~ 70 inches long (side windows)
Priority # 3 ~ 45 inches long (front window)

Thanks so much for the offer. We will see if what I have for 1963 matches yours!

Watch out for sizing differences. The 63 drape channel has a small diameter, some of the newer or older trailers that I have checked out had different diameters, usually bigger.
I used new Airstream curtain tracks for my 63 project where there were no bottom ones. Use T-tabs on the originals, and G-tabs on the new curtain tracks.
The T-tabs work very well on the 63 original aluminum curtain tracks.

I'll get out to storage once I get home and take some measurements. i can guarantee you that I don't have one that's 70 inches long. All of my windows are exactly the same size. Stay tuned...

Thanks for double checking! The 70 inch one actually is the length of the top one over my double windows on the side, so I could go with two pieces and make it work... but I can't be too fussy when looking for 43 year old parts! The 33 inch length is the item I need the most, it will go in the back by the kitchen stove ~ I just don't like the curtains flopping around back there near the burners...

Thanks again for looking. I appreciate your time and effort!

OK, I went through the ones I have.

1. 43" 2 of these
2. 46"
3. 50"
4. 60"

Take your pick and PM me an address to send 'em to. The 60" one is slightly curved on both ends but shouldn't be a problem. They still have some paint on them from PO of my trailer but they look just like yours. Maybe we should compare inside diameters of the channel so we know they're the same.

Hi!

I sent you a PM and hopefully the measurements I sent were useful. My hubby said he would re-measure if you would like... (I am mechanically challenged...)

Thanks for your help!

C-channel measurements

Hello,

Here are the measurements for the c-channel in our 1963 Bambi Airstream. Maybe the picture will make it clear? I did get 3/8".... Thanks to my husband, Don who did the picture and all.

Thanks.

Mrs. NorCal Bambi (very soon to be traveling in S Tardis)

Same stuff as mine. Measures exactly the same. I'll see about getting this stuff shipped your direction. What days will you be gone to the rally over the fourth?
