Cellular Blinds

We did not like the curtains in our 66 Tradewind, so we decided to install some Levolor cellular blinds. We like the simplicity of them although they are a little bit stark; they probably need some dressing up on the sides and possibly a valance at the top. Any one have any ideas?

The windows are tinted, so the blinds are open during the day and closed at night. Pretty simple operation- release to close, one small pull to open.

Good idea

I love the magnet idea. So simple! I have blinds that flop around in the kitchen of ours. I usually just pull them up but I'm going to see if the magnet idea will work for me.

I've always liked your cellular blinds in your Trade Wind. I read about them some years ago. I didn't pick up on your magnet idea to hold the blinds close to the window.

However, my Trade Wind sits with no window coverings at all. I need to do something. The wife made nice curtains for the son's 69 globetrotter and her 86 limited, but alas, no curtains in my Trade Wind. Currently there are some pillow covers hung with clothespins. Doesn't look the greatest. Best I could do on my budget.

Maybe this winter we will get some decorating done in the Trade Wind. It looks less than stark!
