Bent Wall Extrusion - is it salvageable?

I have some wall extrusions that have bent . I'd like to reuse this one, but I'm concerned that it will break the plywood, or the rivets will pop out.

I'm not sure how to bend it back into alignment.

Also, it seems that my plywood is a hair too thin, and the wall channel doesn't want to stay on. Is there a secret? Does it need to be pinched?

Thank you in advance!!
Rachael

Extrusion "attached" to the plywood...as you can see, the aluminum is pulling the wood.

The f channel/bulkhead wall moulding doesn't lay flush.

I know this response is a little slow, but there are clips that fasten to the wood and hold the aluminum in place. If you have the original wood you should check it to if it is still on it. If you don't have them you might take a small strip of gorilla tape and apply it to the edge of the board then fit the aluminum strip. It may require more than one strip to build up the thickness. You can trim it with a razor blade once you have it secured.

It's probably not practical to try and straighten out the angle bracket - you can buy that at any box store.

To straighten out the strip, you would need to make an item similar to what i made to bend guitar frets- a slip roll / fret bender. You could use rollerblade/skateboard wheels.
