Bathroom Vinyl wall with patterns/paint

I have been through several threads reading about painting the interior walls. The bathroom interior wall seems to be a vinyl product with a design printed on it. I have decided I want to change the color and get rid of the pattern. I have read numerous posts on t his subject only to become more confused.

I have read that many products on the market will not set well on the wall. I don't want it ending up staying sticky, bleeding, or drying and peeling. If I decide to go forward with painting I want the wall color changed with out problems in the present or future. We have used the Fusion Krylon on some of the plastic and Tamboor doors and it worked really well. I wonder if I could use Krylon Fusion for the walls?

Is there anybody in this forum who have painted those bathroom walls several years ago and do you still feel like the paint has held?

Hello.... We have used dry eraser board on the walls in the bathroom... removed the vinyl and used the other with contact cement on the original walls... it looks great and we have used it for 6 months in Tx last winter..

Hello again... Check out thread shower wall redo.. last post shows the walls of the interior bathroom... this is not the inside of the shower..

Up until yesterday I was very happy with the 3+ year old "countertop" paint we had our bathroom / shower done over with. Yesterday I went to paint the shower pan with POR 15 after having fixed a few cracks it in so I put blue painters tape on the painted wall at the edge of the shower pan. When I removed the painters type it took up *all* of the countertop paint that was underneath it. Bathroom walls now look like crap, we'll be looking for a better solution......

Anyone know if this flowery vinyl wall can be painted by por-15 whitecoat? Mine is in good physical shape, but needs to be a solid color.
