so im undergoing a huge project and can use a little help. i have a 66 safari that i am converting to have a bed in the rear. i love the way the 50s airstreams have the aluminum panels in the rear that some people polish. my question is does anyone have a 50s airstream that would like to make a template of the 15 peices of aluminum that caps the rear. maybe using a material like paper bags, just something sturdy enough that wont tear when i lay down to make templates. i guess in reality i only need the 7 peices on one side and the very center peice cause i can just use the oposite to make the other side. anyway i think i confused myself lol. but if anyone is willign to help me out just let me know how much you would liek for yorue time and shipping.
We're not the same width, so it wouldn't really help you much. My 13 panel trailer is only 84" wide, so anything made from templates on mine would only fit a trailer from mid '57 or earlier.
I did my front end cap in wood, using templates from the aluminum rear end cap made from light cardboard, like poster board. Cut roughly to shape and taped in place, cut and moved around until it fit the way I wanted.
