Aluminum Trim for Plywood Walls

Hi everyone, I'm redoing all the walls in my 71 Sovereign and can't seem to find this part anywhere. I'm looking for the aluminum C-channel trim that goes over the 1/4" plywood, side that faces the hallway. I only have the one for the shower wall to use as reference, it has ridges in them, they are so hard to find. I contacted InlandRV and they don't have anything either. Please help!!!

I get my trim custom made at the local sheet metal shop, it took a little while working with the guys at Montana Metalworks but they've got it down now. all i need to do is a quick polish to remove scratches and cut it to length. Explain what you want to your local sheet metal and they should be able to come up with something nice.

Check the OUTWATER catalog- I got that name from the forum here and sent for a catalog and they have a mind-boggling selection of trims and "architectural products" made from metals and plastics. They have a website too-- outwater.com

Good Luck- we partially renovated our 1971 Overlander and finally changed gears, sold it and are re-doing a 1977 Argosy.

don't know if they would have what you're looking for but you might check out interstate metal fabricators

We found something similar at Ikea of all places. It is aluminum and used as a channel to hold in their fastbo backsplash panels.

Since your in Scottsdale it's local too.

If I remember correctly it wasn't too costly and I think the channel is for 1/4".

Good luck.

Here are a couple of shots. Might give you an idea of what it looks like before making the drive. Sorry for the quality I had to use my phone's camera.

Is this similar to what you are after? Possibly use it for the walls instead of windows? You could try to search for a similar item maybe, longer length etc...interested to know what you find!
