'79 Shade question

I have a 1979 31' Sovereign that need some updating.

The window shades in the bathroom work very well but are very ugly. Has anyone used the Krylon paint on these?

I can't recall any kind of shade that you even could paint.

My 1983 Excella has a rollup shade in the bathroom. Paint would start flaking off the first time you rolled it.

That's the same kine of shade I have, except for the pattern.

My bath is done in a discrete pale tan bamboo (plant) and orchid pattern with lots of white space. I like mine, but can see why you want to change yours.

There is no way you can successfully paint that. Paint is for surfaces that don't flex. Roller shades are just about the ultimate flexing things.

The good news is that replacements are not hard to find. The local Home Depot has a limited selection, cream or white, in stock and a machine to cut them to width. You can also order a wide variety of different colors, textures, and darkening. Here's a link to a Google search for Roller Shades to get you started.

Of course, if cream or white fills the bill, you can walk out of HD with one quickly.
