Wyoming & Other State Wildlife Magazines

If you are planning a camping trip to any State within the USA and no doubt Canada also has the same for its Provinces... Contact the state for their back issues of Wildlife Magazines.

Wyoming Wildlife Magazine is an excellent Wyoming Game and Fish Department publication. Back issues can be found at wgfd.wyo.gov/store/ or contact them at wyomingwildlife@wyo.gov for further information.

Online searches of other states take a little bit of searching. All are at your finger tips on your computer screen.

This June 2021 of Wyoming Wildlife has some excellent articles of: Greys River fishing, camping and hiking. Also a well done article on Lost... and another In the Middle of Nowhere. Also other articles concerning wildlife, photography, conservation and all written by excellent photographers and writers.

The Grey's River was one fishing and Off the Grid Boondocking site on the 2016 Wyoming Adventure. The Grey's River article mentions the 82 hiking trails, totaling 451 miles. Also different mountain Forest Service dirt road routes from other towns in this area of Wyoming.

Unless the access to the South has had some roadwork, I would scout the road out with the tow vehicle first. Much easier to do a turn around.

The Fossil Fish on a slab is from a Private Quarry, not far from the Fossil Butte National Monument, west of Kemmerer, Wyoming. Great tour. Fish have been in the area for 40,000,000 years or more. There are several active Quarries where you can quarry for smaller fish and they provide the tools, as well.
