South Scenic overlook on I-65 near Nashville?

I live about 2 hours from Nashville and travel I65 a few times a year. I can't think of any scenic overlooks close to Nashville on I65. But, I65 close to Nashville is very busy and I am usually in survival mode when on I65 around Nashville and could easily never noticed a scenic overlook.

I live in Nashville, have driven I65 frequently for many years, and am hard-pressed to think of anything that might fit what you're looking for.

If by "scenic" you mean a downtown view, one place does come to mind that is only a short distance off I65, near the perimeter loop. This, however, would not be something I would recommend while pulling a trailer. It is not "officially" an overlook, but just what I would consider a good view of the city.

I realize that I probably have not been helpful. Let me know if there's any other info that I might be able to share. If we're around, we'd be happy to give you the "nickel tour".

You need to go from Nashville South to Chattanooga on I-24. I-65 is just rolling hills. When you get to the Monteagle area there are some cool places from there on down to Chattanooga. There are no official overlooks on any interstate. The South Cumberland State Park has a lot of cool hiking trails. Their main office is just east of Monteagle on the way to Tracy City.

If you are heading for FL I can't think of anything on I65. If you are going to connect to I 75 from 65 via I24 there is one as you near chatanooga but it is a good 100 miles from nashville
