recess for a 50 amp generator for a 2001 34' Classic

We have a 2001 34' Classic with 50 amp. Our son wants to use the trailer off site in the desert (flat area - safe for trailer) this winter in AZ. What are recommendations for a generator??
Thanks

I have used the dual EU2000i and companion for 12 years with zero issue.

Meets the power requirement and I can pick up the individual units with out strain.

If he wants a real 50 amp generator, his options are limited.
First, at all levels reject the open frame construction generators in favor of the "inverter generator".
You said "AZ" but also "winter" so I think he should limit his thinking to 30 amps.
There's lots of fine generators out there, Champion 4500, or the top of the line Honda EU3000is.

In the real world you get tired of bringing gas daily, and no generators will hold a large supply. You can jury rig a 6 gal marine tank to feed a small generator.
I'll bet he favors windows open over a/c for most days.

You are correct, in order to provide a full 50AMP service (approximately) using generators, dual EU7000i are required, at $5K apiece. Not to mention over 1 gallon per hour per unit to run. The dual EU2200 provide just over 30AMP, at $1.3K each.
