It is not the length of an Airstream that will limit your off road adventures.
It is your Tow Vehicle.
It is your Experience Towing.
It is your Tire Choices.
It is how you secure your interior cabinets and fixtures.
It is directly dependent on the BUMPER Dragging, or not.
It is dependent on the width of the road, brush alongside, and tree branches.
It is dependent on having a CoPilot following a map. Accurate or not map.
It is dependent on YOU having tools. Not many, but the right ones.
It is dependent on the weather conditions, when it turns... BAD.
It is dependent on the placement of your outside dump system. (23' was bad)
It is dependent on having the right tools, even if you have not needed them until...
I had no trouble with a 23 foot.
I had no trouble with a 25 foot.
I had no trouble with a 27 foot (aka 28 feet) BUT have reached MY LIMIT, maybe.
A 3 inch LIFT KIT puts the 27 to 30 foot Airstreams in serious... PLEASURE OTG BOONDOCKING.
Add Solar in the event you are really serious. Trees do not provide convenient outlets to plug into to keep your batteries from dying in three days. A generator...? Tell me how that works... so great?
What are your experiences? Your rear bumper is a reminder that you made a mistake.
Ask me any questions you like. You may like, or not like my response.
It is better than high centering your Airstream between a Rock and a... well Air with two axles suspended in a free spin.
