Irene is coming

Charlestown RI SP is a barrier beach no service CG. Here we sit with one storm coming in tonight and Irene due Sunday to Monday. For now we are watching the tide race in the breachway. First stop on The Bat Cave Express great barrier beach adventure down the coast and on to New Orleans. Assuming there are still some left. We will bug out Saturday ahead of the rain bands

Having evacuated for over 10 Hurricanes in my lifetime I would be gone now. Traffic builds quickly and service stations run out of fuel even quicker. You do not want to become trapped by some unforeseen event.

Where do you plan to stay in NOLA?

Jim

We are hunkered down and will use the AS if we have any power problems.

Stocked with the basic food groups (Coffee, Scotch & Cigars) I think we are ready.

We have a generator if we need it, the batteries and water have been topped off.

Hope and pray for the best.
