Inverter Generator ??

So I’m in the market for a good inverter generator but I’m trying to balance weight savings and yet still have enough power to at least power one of my AC units while Boondocking. What’s your take on a good generator and your experiences in which ones may be the best?? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Size wattage etc ?

Fully agree with this. But let me qualify this response a bit.

The Honda eu2200i can power a single A/C unit, but the fuel tank is rather small. If you need to run for longer times, you will either want to use one of the contraptions to add an auxiliary tank, or you can convert the generator to run on propane. If you do such a conversion, you can set it up to run off the existing propane supply on your Airstream.

You may also want to consider installing components to your air conditioner that minimize the surge of current upon compressor startup. The MicroAir Easy Start is one such device, and it works very nicely.
