Generator Connections to 50 amp trailer

A little help in selecting a proper connector for my new generator, Yamaha EF2000iSv2. Just the one unit for now. My dilemma, which connector to buy to plug from the trailer to the generator? Ideally I would love not to use the big chord when using the generator.

Also installing an easy start in one of 2 AC units to power using this when necessary. I did read another thread about shedding the battery charger and keeping draw to a minimum when running an AC on a small unit like the one I just purchased. All good stuff!

Using it for the occasional stop without hookups. Not for hardcore boondocking...yet.

Thanks!

KF

I recently purchased a 50A locking female to 30A male "dogbone" and a 30A RV power cable for exactly this purpose. This new cable is soooo much easier to manipulate; no man-handling required!

Each cost about $30 at Camping World, but I probably could have saved a few duckets if I went the mail order route.

That would work. I wonder if there is an 50A female locking to a male that I could just plug into the generator as it does not have the 30A female on it. Still looking, has to be out there somewhere.

Thanks for input.
