Boondocking your Airstream Off the Grid is exactly that. With many worried about becoming ill from a virus is a concern. Yet... many, if not most may prefer to be among small or large groups of people from many places, anyways.
This is a New Year to try something different. Try taking your Airstream to places and locations you never would have considered... until TODAY.
Most Airstreams have every comfort of home... and when traveling, views. Fresh air. Cooler air at elevation. Warmer air at lower elevations in early Spring and late Fall.
Our plans have not changed. We look forward to getting away from the crowds, as always.
Prepare your provisions. Lately bottled water and toilet tissue has been popular. Why? Not something we have diverted our attention to obtaining all we can purchase. We watched at the Costco bulk area where cases of water and mega packs of toilet tissue. Rice by the large bag were emptied. Chicken and Tuna.
Pull out a national map. Yellowstone? Why not outside Yellowstone Park? The park will be there next year and the next. Although crowds may be reduced, this is your vacation.
All of this will pass. Understand the current information of areas to avoid. Understand what is being said, and not said. Boarding your windows tight for a Hurricane in Delta, Utah or a US Army gas mask in your home may not be required in remote locations just off the Highway or into the National Forests.
Any illnesses we encountered were from Restaurants while eating at a town with unfamiliar resources. It is not pleasant and sometimes difficult to figure out which place. Don’t skip an opportunity to try something new.
