Boondocking along Nevada Basin and Desert. Any good spots?

We need to post up for a night in the middle of Nevada, enroute from Zion to Reno. Any good Boondocking spots out there? There are a few campgrounds I found but thought maybe this might be a good place to find a spot to just pull over preferably off highway 50 or 95. Hot springs are a plus.... thanks for your knowledge!

also anybody know what the temp is like in late June/ beginning July

It has been a few years, since I have been there. I believe it is Spencer Hot Springs; east off of NV Hwy 376 (it runs between Tonopah and US 50 east of Austin, NV. The turnoff to the HS is just a few miles south of US 50 to the east. We traveled a few miles on a dirt road (just go slow and easy). Three good size water tanks to soak in. Volunteers put a movable flute at each tank so you can adjust the water temperature. That was our overnight stop on the way to Burning Man. Only once did we encounter people other than our group. If you have a source to find hot springs you can get the GPS numbers. If you find it pass on the GPS numbers to me. Good luck. The temps should not be too high. We were late August warm days and cool nights.

I posted on your other thread, recommending Great Basin National Park, but I would note that Nevada towns generally have one or more casinos, often with an RV park attached or even allowing free overnight parking. The casinos may not be super places for kids, but generally the restaurant meals are inexpensive.

Great Basin NP, Hickison Summit at Austin are a couple that come to mind.
