What size rivet for lower belt line.

I'm doing a repair on the bumper area of my 1986 Sovereign. I need to remove the belt line. What size rivets should I get to reinstall it? I'm pretty certain they're 1/8" but I need to know what grip range I should get.

You can try using a gauge. Pretty much anything that fits in the current hole with a lip on the end to catch on the inner skin. mark the OS surface, retract then measure the wall thickness. If that makes little sense google cherry max gauge for an image.

Good advice! I drilled out a rivet last night and discovered they are not 1/8" as I supposed. Looks like 5/32 and I'll need about 5/8" grip range. Thanks!

The rivets would be in the 50 series range. 52,54, 56, etc. larger numbers are longer.
