Weird circular corrosion

I went to check on my trailer today and noticed these circular swirls on the side of my camper. It's kind of ruff to the touch. I scratched at it with my finger nail with no effect...

Not corrosion. Thats from the chain moving around. A bush or branch will do similar....but bigger.

Guessing the photo posted sideways. I agree it is the chain scratching going down the road. It should be attached to the hole in the plate.
