weatherproofing interior and exterior seams on airstream
hi fellow streamers,
I have fully gutted a 1950s avalair camper ( it is a cousin of avion and airstream and was constructed nearly identical to them )
and am now in the stages of making the camper weather tight. i have identified a few seams that have leaks. both roof seams have bad leaks:i plan to use the aluminum eternabond tape on those.
i have also purchased about a dozen tubes of sika caulk for waterproofing..
should i be caulking all the exterior seams and rivets from the interior of the camper since it is currently all exposed? as well as doing a clean bead on the exterior seams that have leaking issues?
if anyone can share the extent of waterproofing they think is necessary that would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
