Trim rail on '73 Ambassador coming loose

Dear Streamers,

I am new to Airstream restoration, having recently purchased a 1973 29' Ambassador with center bath (tiny!). The rig is is pretty good shape, but there are a lot of minor repairs needed to bring it up to par.

There is a metal "trim" piece running along across the bottom of the trailer. It cuts across the battery compartment door. The rail has started to come loose. It looks like it was originally affixed with electrostatic spot welds or something of the sort. How can I properly repair it?

The rub rail molding should be attached with rivets, usually #30, or 1/8". Drill out the old, rivet in the new.

Thanks for taking the time to respond. I can't believe that I didn't notice that they are rivets (I thought they were spot welds!?) Haha. Knowing what size to get makes my job easier. See you around the forum,
