Solid rivet length

Hello from voluntary social isolation.

So I've purchased the assorted solid rivet sizes from Vintage Trailer Supply including the 3 lengths of the 1/8" shank and the 3 lengths of the modified 5/32" shanks. I''m about ready to reattach my shell to the frame, (92 Excella) or more precisely to the aluminum floor channel that surrounds the perimeter of the floor. I understand the 1-1/2 - 2 protruding shank length to shank diameter ratio. That said was wondering if anyone can tell me the most common shank length (1/4", 3/8", 1/2") for attaching shell skin to the floor channel (I'm guessing 3/8"). I worry about having enough so am thinking about ordering some additional before I start, but would like to get the correct length.

You want the “bucked end” of the rivet to “swell” to be approximately the same size as the rivet “head” ...or to be twice the diameter of the rivet shank...after it is bucked. I.E., you want the rivet to be about 3/16” longer than the depth of the hole.
