Skin thickness

I wonder if anyone can tell me what kind of aluminum sheetmetal to use to replace a rear section on my 71' Globetrotter. 6061-T6? 2024-T4? and the thickness?

6061 is probably harder than you will need and will be harder to form. The curves are 3D and softer will be easier. I was told a couple of times it is .032, now it will probably be .030. I don't know if '71 was clad, maybe someone with that year will chime in.
