For a few years now I have been reading about FB units with the skins by the front storage doors tearing at the edges.
Been looking for a 30' FC bunk and found one on-line, that has the old style water heater and fridge.
I seem to recall that the front is not tied down to the frame as well on 30' an larger and that many have reported skin tears and cracks around that front storage door as a result. Possibly over-hitching causing this? Also noticed that the front door storage trim itself had 3-4 rivets popped.
All of that is concerning, but the biggest concern of all appears to be a tear in the skin above the entry door. I don't think I've ever seen anything like it. Given the door is further south on the body then most Airstreams due to the front bedroom and up front entry, I'm just at a loss what could have cause that much damage that far away from the hitch, and yet have no other signs of popped rivets in the area of the door inside or out.
My gut is telling me hard pass. Any thoughts?
