rivets...

i'm sure this question is answered her somewhere, but i haven't found it so i'll try this way. one of the items listed as a need to pack item was rivets and a rivet gun. now, hopefully we won't find a need for these, but my husband has both, he just needs to know what size or if they are special rivets we need to get from the airstream dealer. thanks!

For a permanent fix, use Aluminum Olympic Rivets (washerless). They can be purchased from Airstream or any number of online vendors (Vintage Trailer Supply, Inland RV, Airscraft Spruce, etc.). For a temporary fix...anything will do. The last thing you want is to be dragging your belly pan down the highway.

1/8" medium grip length for interior stuffs and 5/32" Olympics(I think...I will go and look) for exterior. And if you have a belly pan a few of the 5/32" with the oversized heads wouldn't hurt. And a big roll of aluminum tape for temporary patches.

Hey airstreamers, have a GREAT vacation! We'll miss your cheery posts!

I am assuming you are going after your new baby? If so, have a WONDERFUL time, and enjoy the heck out of your trip!!! Don't forget to take lots of pics to post when you return!!

Oh but of course it's the rv's...I know better than to comment about anybody else's belly pan! Unfortunately, I have padded my own over this long winter ~ let's hope it doesn't drag down the highway!!!
