riveting shell to wheel wells

In deconstructing our Tradewind, I noted that the only rivets holding the shell to the wheel wells were the pop rivets running through the trim piece at the bottom of the wheel well. I'm thinking of running a horizontal line of buck rivets about midway up from the bottom, just because, ummm, well, it seems they would add structural support. I may be overthinking and overdoing it, so would like to hear from folks regarding their perceived pros and cons on this idea.

My 68 TW is the same and is 49 years old with no issues in that area. I don't think you need it and are over thinking this one.
