Rivet shaver tool question

I hoping someone with an Olympic rivet shaving tool can help me. I want to see the cutter on it, and specifically how it compares the ones I’m seeing online, like this one

The replacement cutters I’ve seen online all look flat on the cutting end. While from what I can tell the cutting tool I’ve seen ASers use, leaves the rivet with a rounded headed.

If there are rivet shaver cutters that leave a domed head, can these cutters be purchased?

I’m asking because I want to explore making a shaver tool, likely 3D printed so others could possibly print their own. It wouldn’t be as durable as a metal one, but for those of us who are likely only working on one AS for the foreseeable future I think it would be durable enough. Thanks in advance.

The cutter you show is for shaving rivets flush to the skin. It would be a countersunk rivet like a flat head screw. These are typically used on airplane fuselages so it is airodynamic.

Hi from your Arvada neighbor. I have an aircraft style rivet shaver that is used, as mentioned above, for shaving flush aircraft rivets. The Olympic shaver does indeed use a radiused cutter, it is the expensive part. Nobody as far as I know use this style of a cutter except for the Olympic blind rivets.

The microstop that is used for the Olympic shaver are pretty common. I have several of these.

If you need any help with this feel free to PM me. I live off of Ward Rd and 67th.
