Removing Olympic Rivets

Okay, so I did a bonehead thing which will not be mentioned in this discussion. The problem I now have is how to remove an Olympic rivet (or 30).. The mandrel piece is right where I would expect to drill. Any experience?

Thanks,

Dave

Assuming you can't get at the interior part of the rivet, about the only way I can think of is cut off the mandrel flush with the head. dimple with a center point, drill out which should release the head, cut off the mandrel flush with the surface, drive the mandrel to the inside with a centerpunch.

DDickey,

Bought the rivet removal tool and the job was a breeze. Thanks for your help. I didn't know such a tool existed
